Huracán was a famous Spanish bull who died in a bullfight in 1879. It means hurricane in the Spanish. This word also gives name to the best-selling supercar ever by Lamborghini. With this name, we can think that the gastronomic equivalent of this supercar will be the Carolina Reaper - and we will not be mistaken - however, the vast majority of the owners of the Performante variant preferred to keep them stored, so it is, in a way, ironic to see one here smudging it's shoes in an industrial environment.
Lamborghini Hurácan Performante
This work aims to explore techniques used for product photography in order to create an advertising campaign for a supercar. Exploring mostly the more technical side when making use of natural light through reflectors and diffusers, as well as artificial light, using speedlights in numerous ways. The British program and magazine Top Gear, the films of the Fast and Furious franchise as well as Need For Speed games are clear influences of the style adopted for the concept, since they always have an urban and aggressive environment.
Since this is a work of product photography, my intention was to simulate a real situation and, therefore, a more challenging one. Thus the simulation of a scenario in which the car was ceded for only 3 hours, in the middle of the afternoon and with no chance of repetition, refers to the concept of the brave bull that requires a fast but extremely effective action.
